Sellers story
We felt so impressed when we first went through the courtyard and discovered this charming Carriage-house styled through the archway into property. The surrounding architecture is so unique it still wows us to this day.
Back then, we had two older teenagers and a younger child. The layout has been very practical. With our son in mind, we added fitted wardrobes to the downstairs bedroom and a luxurious en-suite shower room with a Hansgrohe Raindance shower. Never again would he disturb us when arriving home late.
We replaced the kitchen with real oak units and granite worktops and added a couple of luxuries with the wine cooler and warming drawer. The central heating system was replaced in 2019.
We have put so much effort into making our home a special place. Outside, you can really relax, rain or shine, as you sit under the gazebo, listening to the tumbling waterfall and watching the wildlife in the adjoining nature reserve; we will miss it dearly. It’s such a great space, perfect for family barbecues too.
The picturesque Allesley village is steeped in history dating back to Norman times along with the 17th-century Rainbow Inn and the Elms Restaurant which is set within a 400-year-old listed building.
Saints church, whose joyous bells ring out twice weekly.
My daily walk either takes me through the churchyard straight into the Coundon Wedge or over the footbridge to Allesley Park. The countryside is right on our doorstep. Our house is very practical with lots of parking and a low-maintenance artificial lawn in the garden. Real wooden floors to the downstairs. 3 bathrooms, a cloakroom and fitted wardrobes to keep it all neat and tidy.
The transport links are excellent. Directly outside are buses to Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham city centre and also Birmingham International. The road network is also fantastic.
Our older children have now left and we will be downsizing. We truly hope the next owner of this house will cherish its beauty and enjoy making it theirs.
